Kavita is a results driven Senior Procurement and Contract Management Professional with 20+ years of experience. She has worked within public and private sectors for MNCs and EPCMs, on major capital projects and global categories in North America and South-East Asia.

Kavita’s procurement and contracts management experience includes construction, civil works, engineering services, architectural works, environmental services, major equipment, maintenance and repairs within the utilities and mining industries.

For ArcBlue she has developed category strategies for the solar industry including capability assessment, training and development. In addition, she is delivering both advanced and foundation procurement training through Singapore Institute Management (SIM) and direct to private organisations. Training topics includes supply chain management, category strategy development, introduction to negotiations and supplier management.

She is motivated, has entrepreneurial spirit, and a proven track record for combining effective stakeholder management skills with best practices and logic to reduce risk and achieve commercial savings. In her most recent role with Rio Tinto, she received the 2019 Chief Executive Pioneering Excellence Award for leading the Global Conveyor Belt Sourcing Project. Achieving not only cost savings, but also improvements in quality, safety and mine production. She has successfully led a team to complete procurement and contract management activities, from initiation to close-out (full project lifecycle) of USD $230M capital project for CH2M Hill, both within budget and on schedule.

Kavita has her BA in Criminology, her Supply Chain Management Professional Certification and Negotiation Certification from Canada.
